This classic French apartment is nestled at the south of the very historical area named Montparnasse, where aspiring international writers such as Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald and James Joyce converged, looking to find inspiration in the Parisian setting.
It also hosted some of the greatest artists like Picasso, Chagall and Gauguin.
In the neighborhood's zenith, cafés like Le Dôme, La Closerie des Lilas, La Coupole - all of which are still in business - were a lifeline to the struggling artists and writers who populated Montparnasse.
Le Alesia is located in the Alesia area of the always stimulating 14th arrondissement, between Blvd St Jacques, Parc Montsouris and the Jardin du Luxembourg in the Latin Quarter.
The neighborhood is oh so Parisian, with tree lined streets, the local bakery (and amazing restaurant) just across the street, restaurants on every corner, local markets, cafes, etc.
The apartment is 2 floors up (no elevator), an historic building with only 1 apartment per floor.
The space and light is amazing, at almost 700 square feet, and with 8 windows!
The living room is spacious, the convertible sofa becomes a small double.
The kitchen is opened planned and fully equipped.
The bedroom is cozy and looks over a smaller side street, and is also equipped with an exterior roller-shutter to block noise and light, so very conducive to a deep sleep.
The bathroom is very large, equipped with a modern, walk-in shower, toilet, sink and vanity area, and heated towel rack.
The apartment has been recently, completely renovated, and has all the modern amenities, like high-speed WiFi, cable TV, Free Long-Distance phone calls, recessed lighting, but without losing its original charm -- beautiful parquet floors and classic ceiling moldings.

Unit was clean and felt very Parisian, location in a safe, convenient, non-touristy, residential area was outstanding, access to Metro Line 4 was close with access to all sights.
I highly recommend La Alsia.
Note that the unit is located up two flights of narrow stairs but we didnt find it a problem to navigate.
If you want a a Parisian experience, stay here!

I only dealt with Krystyna in 2018, but she was always quite helpful, as well. I met Aaron in 2018, and he, too, was a pleasure to deal with.
Excellent communication, clear willingness to assist, and a general attention to detail makes for a very impressive business.

It was such a pleasure to get back to Le Alesia for a brief stay. Having had connections to the area before 2018, it is nice to return, but could not imagine a better apartment for a brief stay. The general aesthetic of the apartment is impressively notable and attention to detail throughout only enhances the stay further.

The staff at MFVR are very professional and prompt in communication. We loved our stay so much that we booked it again. But we had to cancel because our plans had changed. Steven was very understanding and refunded our payment right away since our cancellation was over 2 weeks before our arrival. It was a relief that our cancellation was handled so smoothly.

We fell in love with Paris even more after staying at Le Alesia. The neighborhood around Le Alesia (in the 14th arrondissement) was perfect ~ not too noisy and it is quite clean and safe. The property was so comfortable that we felt like local residents temporarily.

This property was conveniently located to a metro but somewhat away from all the normal tourist sites so we had to allow additional time for the commute but was ok with it bc we wanted to stay somewhere with a local feel, away from tourists. It's conveniently located across the street from a bakery and very close to a supermarket. It was a great property for us as we appreciated the larger size it offers, along with all amenities. It even has a washing machine and dishwasher.

The apartment was exactly as portrayed. I checked myself in (with lockbox) easily, the orientation booklet was very helpful (with good instructions for washing machine, for example), internet worked fine, and most importantly, the apartment was very clean. The apartment has high ceilings, big windows, lots of light, is nicely (allthough simply) furnished, has large rooms (especially kitchen and bathroom), and overall was very comfortable. I really appreciated the fact that there was plenty of towels, clean sponges and dish washing soap was provided in kitchen, nice dishes and glasses, well-equipped kitchen, and the bathroom had soap and tp. The neighborhood is great, very local and non-touristy, with easy access to metro line 4. Nearby restaurants are excellent, especially Verre Siffleur and Le Zayer, with good sushi close by also. The only downside is that rue d'Alesia can be a bit noisy with traffic, but with windows closed, it is not a problem. Overall, excellent experience, I would come back and stay again!

Le Alesia was perfect for our most recent visit to Paris! Convenient location in neighborhood setting with wonderful access to Metro, shopping, services ( patisserie, pharmacies, restaurants, hair salon, dry cleaner), 'exploring'. Newly renovated bathroom with large stall shower was splendid! Large, bright, sunny well- appointed kitchen/dining area and salon very comfortable. We'll be back!
